Just got back from a solo drive down PCH and was surprised at the crowds on the weekends. I've been doing this route for years and never thought I'd see it so packed. When I'm planning a trip to Big Sur, I try to avoid mid-April to mid-June and September to October, those are the times when most people take their summer vacations and schools are on fall break.
